Project Overview

We're building a platform that helps test for viral diseases — from clinics to people's homes. The product brings together hardware devices, firmware, a mobile app, and a cloud/admin backend, all working in sync. Because we operate in the healthcare space, the platform is HIPAA-compliant and built with data security as a top priority.
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to help us build and scale features across our mobile app, cloud services, and APIs. You'll work closely with firmware and QA teams to ship a product that's actually used in real diagnostic workflows.

Role requires willingness to overlap with the US California (Pacific) time zone for at least 6 hours per day.

Technical Details:

Tech Stack: Python, Django, React-Native, TypeScrip, PgSQL, Redis, Celery

Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Bitbucket Pipelines

Job Highlights:
  • Healthcare — every feature we ship is aimed at solving a real problem for real patients and clinics
  • You'll have real influence on technical and architectural decisions
  • You'll work directly with engaged stakeholders
  • The product is complex, both in logic and implementation
  • HIPAA compliance and data security
Team Composition:
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain features across our React Native mobile app and python backend/cloud services
  • Build and consume REST APIs that connect the mobile app to cloud infrastructure and device data
  • Collaborate with firmware engineers to integrate BLE/serial device communication into app workflows
  • Own features end-to-end: from data model and API design through UI implementation and release
  • Write automated tests (unit, integration) and participate in code review to maintain quality in a regulated product environment
  • Work with state management (e.g., MobX/Redux-style stores) to manage complex, real-time device and assay data
  • Debug across the stack — from UI rendering issues to backend data pipelines to device connectivity edge cases
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design documentation

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with real full-stack ownership (frontend + backend)
  • Strong experience with React or React Native, and TypeScript/JavaScript
  • 2+ year of AI assisted software development
  • Experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs (python Django, or similar)
  • Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with relational databases and data modeling
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable working cross-functionally with QA, firmware, and product teams
  • At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English

Nice to have:

  • C++ firmware experience, experience with hardware-connected apps (BLE, serial protocols), or in a regulated/medical device software environment (IEC 62304, FDA)
