[ client & product overview/ ]

Quantuvis is a healthcare technology company that developed the first complete SaaS solution for pharmaceutical rebate management.

Founded in 2013, Quantuvis aimed to bridge the operational divide between manufacturers and payers by reducing administrative inefficiencies in contract and rebate negotiations. Today, their platform supports closed-loop rebate workflows, improves financial outcomes, and is widely adopted across the pharmaceutical industry.

Executive Summary
Quantuvis wanted to evolve its rebate management product from a focused negotiation tool into a unified, end-to-end market access platform used across the pharmaceutical industry. As adoption and data volume grew, the platform needed a major rebuild to stay reliable during high-stakes invoicing cycles. The team also needed to shift from group-level to individual claim-level processing to enable more flexible workflows.

MEV delivered a full platform rebuild and expansion, adding core modules (Rebate Negotiation, Contract Management, Reporting Dashboards), integrating essential third-party services (DocuSign, MediSpan, FDB), redesigning the UX to reduce friction in critical workflows, and upgrading infrastructure and the data layer to improve speed and stability. The result: a 130% performance increase, more predictable releases, and a platform trusted by leading pharma organizations.

The Core Challenges Solved

As Quantuvis grew, their platform struggled to keep up. The product needed a complete rebuild to:
C1:

Handle millions of records during invoicing cycles

C2:

Fix unpredictable releases and production bugs

C3:

Improve speed without adding technical debt

C4:

Support individual claims instead of group-level ones

C5:

Provide clearer system monitoring

C6:

Simplify the user experience for high-stakes workflows

[ how we did it/ ]

Solution & Implementation
S1:

Full Platform Rebuild and Expansion

The core system was rebuilt and expanded with new modules, including Rebate Negotiation, Contract Management, and Reporting Dashboards, to support scalability.
S2:

Third-Party Integrations

To support critical business processes, we integrated the platform with trusted third-party services: DocuSign, MediSpan, FDB (First Databank).
S3:

UX and Product Improvements

We reviewed user behavior to uncover friction points in key workflows. Based on that, the UI was redesigned to simplify navigation, reduce errors, and improve usability.
S4:

Infrastructure Upgrade

A major upgrade to the data storage system and infrastructure boosted performance and reliability, enabling the platform to handle enterprise-scale demands.
S5:

More Stable Releases

We introduced structured QA processes and improved cross-team coordination. This reduced production defects and made release cycles more predictable.
S6:

Real-Time Monitoring

System-wide monitoring was implemented, along with Slack-integrated alerts, making it easier to detect and resolve issues in real time.
S7:

Shift to Individual Claims

We re-architected the platform to move from group to individual claims management—unlocking flexible product development and better alignment with customer needs.
S8:

 Productivity and Planning Tools

To support better execution, a multi-level task estimation system (T0–T2), initiative sizing, and velocity tracking were rolled out across teams.

COO at Quantuvis
Quantuvis has partnered with MEV for the development of our core product since 2017. They've been with us as we built the platform from a basic negotiation tool into the only end-to-end drug rate management system in the market. We're grateful for their expertise, focus, and flexibility as we have scaled.
